With a king sized bed, fresh laundered white sheets & doona cover and a selection of pillows, you might sleep like a baby as you’re off the main road and the riverflats are just below the property. The bedroom has double doors through to the lounge to make the most of the panoramic view outside, from the front portrait double sash window and you can view the flatscreen TV from the Mastersuite bed through to the lounge. Reading lamps, a fitted wardrobe, iron and ironing board are included and day / night blockout blinds allow your choice of light or views. There’s reverse cycle cooling and heating from the lounge, an electric blanket if required and an extra luxurious woven linen bedcover to keep you as cool or warm and snug as required. The Loungeroom Our custom styling will have you sink into the luxurious softly padded red leather couch in the lounge or bedroom. With a huge Persian rug underneath you’ll feel warm and snug as you sit under the romantic lighting and with reverse cycle cooling and heating, you'll be comfortable in every season. A Flatscreen TV sits in the Lounge on the hand turned wooden writing desk, and there’s a range of CD's, books and DVDs to enjoy, a docking station for your old iPhone or new tech mini Bluetooth speaker to pair up with your phone so you can choose to listen to the sounds of your favourite music as stored on your device, and the complimentary WIFI will keep you well connected. The day / night blockout blinds allow your choice of light or views. The Kitchenette at the Recycled Pine Sideboard This is where you leave the kitchen at home and indulge at the restaurants and gourmet eateries in this beautiful region for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner in the prettiest villages dotted around the town, where you can also do a spot of sightseeing, otherwise you can choose your favourite multicultural takeaways from the Bairnsdale CBD. If you require breakfast at home, you’re welcome to bring your own breakfast supplies, or request Continental breakfast supplies as an Extra pp per night. Aside from a coffee machine, mini fridge for any overnight chilling, kettle, toaster, microwave, dishwashing container / drying rack and dishwashing machine, you'll find all the essentials you need inside the recycled pine sideboard (oils, salt & pepper, vinegar, condiments, assortment of teas, individual tealeaf maker and teapot, freshly ground coffee, sugar and much more). No need to keep buying all those expensive essentials. They're already here! The Bathroom This Jack and Jill bathroom is accessible both from the master suite bedroom and the grand entrance hall - which is ideal if Extra guests stay in the bed that’s made up in the lounge as Extra twin share or double accommodation. Enjoy the Extra large rainfall shower under the romantic flower pendant lighting. Adore the reclaimed Australian species bench top and counter top basin with luxury toiletries. A convection heater is underneath for the winter months. Soft fluffy towels and L’Occtaine soaps ensure delightful scents and senses. Enjoy the natural river water that’s natural ice melt and rainfall that has filtered down from the mountain ranges around Mt Hotham, then has been treated to remove any contaminates, for the best tasting and naturally soft water for washing, to leave you feeling refreshed and reinvigorated as the water is naturally heated by the East Gippsland riviera sunshine on the solar panels on the roof above. A washing machine is also included in this room. The Verandah The verandah at Kananook Heritage House is a favourite place for many guests with captivating panoramic river valley views. Quiet, tranquil and peaceful, it's a great place to chill and unwind with a book, a glass of wine, a cheese plate or someone you love. Breathe in fresh air and delight in the big night starry Bairnsdale skies. The River Valley Views from Kananook Heritage House Homestead The Apartment Residences are located at the lower end of Riley Street and the Historic Homestead is nestled into the base of the hill so that it overlooks the Mitchell River Flat Valley and naturally historic Picnic Point, with panoramic views with a picturesque micro lake with delightful waterbirds set amongst the leafy green orchard down the street below. The horses have over an acre below which you can enjoy watching if they’re there, when you’re staying in the 1880s Executive Suite Apartment at the Historic Homestead, from the front of the homestead verandah. Leafy silverscreen adorns the fence lines with Manchurian and Evergreen Pears making Kananook Heritage House their home. |
